6:00 pm: Talk: Women in the Italian Resistance during World War II

Join us for a talk by Auburn native Dr. Jomarie Alano, who has spent much of her academic career chronicling the life and work of Ada Gobetti, an Italian Resistance activist.
Dr. Alano is a Visiting Scholar at Cornell University's Institute for European Studies. In 2004 she published "Patron Saints and Paesani: Italian Immigrants in Auburn, New York 1900-1940" in the journal "Italian Americana." Partisan Diary and Patron Saints and Paesani are available at Seymour Library.
The museum will remain open until 5:45 pm for guests to view Becoming American: the Italian Immigrant in Cayuga County before the talk.

History Book Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. Members discuss non-fiction works of history on local, national and global themes. Participation is free and members can choose to attend any or all of the meetings.

word, revisited is a collaborative initiative between the Museum, aaduna, and Olive Trees, celebrating the spoken word.
