5:00 pm: Ed Catto's Emerging Artist Project Opening
April 18, 2019 –
The CNY Emerging Artist Project continues with this year’s second show, featuring the work of area artist Ed Catto. As an illustrator, Catto embraces the classic pen and ink feel of pulp illustration.
Catto is a regular contributor to new pulp thrillers, and in, fact, he was recently nominated in the “Best Interior Artist” category for the annual Pulp Factory Awards.
“I grew up on a steady diet of comic books and reprint pulp adventures, and always seemed to have a pencil in my hand,” said Catto. “It’s a thrill for me to combine my passion of art with a celebration of graphic novels, comics and pulps through illustration.”
Join us for Catto's opening reception, and be sure to stop at the Chef4Rent food truck- they'll be at each reception this year!
Admission is $5 general public, Museum members free.
The presenting sponsor of the CNY Emerging Artist Project is Tompkins Trust Company.
