David Ruekberg lives and teaches near Rochester, NY. He holds an MFA from Warren Wilson, and enjoyed a residency at Jentel Arts. His poems have been published in Barrow Street, Lake Effect, Mudfish, Slushpile, Yankee, and elsewhere. His first book, Where Is the River Called Pishon? (Kelsay Press) explores the longing for spiritual belonging in everyday life. His manuscript, Hour of the Green Light, was a semi-finalist in the 18th Annual Elixir Press Poetry Award.
