Join us for a discussion of the book Guards Imprisoned: Correctional Officers at Work with the author Lucien X. Lombardo, PhD.
In Dr. Lombardo's book, correctional officers working at Auburn Correctional Facility in the mid-1970's and 80's are given the opportunity to describe and discuss the prison world as they experienced it. The descriptions the book provides were derived from hundreds of hours of face-to-face interviews with the officers having a wide range of experience.
A question and answer period will follow. This event is free and open to the public.
