PBS Documentary: The Italian Americans | Part 1
August 17, 2017 –
The PBS Documentary THE ITALIAN AMERICANS, is a two-part, four-hour documentary series about the Italian experience in America, which we will show over two weeks, in two hour segments.
The series, written and produced by John Maggio and narrated by Academy Award-nominated actor Stanley Tucci, explores the evolution of Italian Americans from the late nineteenth century to today, from “outsiders” once viewed with suspicion and mistrust to some of the most prominent leaders of business, politics and the arts today.
We will feature two screenings of each part, at 2 and 6 pm.
This program is free and open to the public, and we encourage you to also visit our Becoming American exhibit before the show.
