History's Hometown Architecture Tour
October 5, 2019 –
The beauty of Autumn and the history of Auburn will both be on full display as guides from the Seward House and Cayuga Museum take you on a tour featuring the historic South Street District and Fort Hill Cemetery. Explore the fascinating history and architecture of the city’s most prominent homes, buildings, and properties. Within Fort Hill, engage with the diverse history of Auburn's citizenry and the deeper meaning behind the Victorian symbolism found through out the Cemetery.
The tour will begin and end at the Seward House Museum, rain or shine, and will proceed regardless of temperature, so participants are encouraged to dress comfortably and prepare appropriately in anticipation of two hours of walking through city neighborhoods and cemetery pathways.
Admission is $10 for members of the Seward House Museum or the Cayuga Museum of History and Art, $15 for members of the public. A $20 Combo Package includes admission to the walking tour and a voucher to tour both museums.
Reservations required. Reservations can be made and more information can be found by contacting the Seward House Museum at (315)-252-1283.
