6:00 pm: Stephen Eoannou at word, revisited
March 22, 2018 –
The Cayuga Museum, in partnership with Olive Trees and aaduna, is continuing a program dedicated to writers and writing. Word, revisited is a bimonthly, community program exploring original writing in all its diverse, intriguing, provocative, and exciting forms.
Published author Stephen Eoannou is our featured reader on March 22. Eoannou’s first story collection, Muscle Cars, was published in April of 2015 by the Santa Fe Writers Project. These stories have appeared in a number of literary journals and magazines including The Saturday Evening Post, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Rosebud, and The MacGuffin. His work has been nominated for two Pushcart Awards, awarded an Honor Certificate from The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and was honored with the Best Short Screenplay Award at the 36th Starz Denver Film Festival.
Stephen G. Eoannou holds an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte and an MA from Miami University. He lives and writes in his hometown of Buffalo, New York, the setting and inspiration for much of his work.
Word, revisited takes place on the second and fourth Thursday of each month in the intimate space of the Carriage House Theater behind the Cayuga Museum. Each evening’s program includes both a featured speaker and an open mic session. Doors will open at 5:30 pm for open mic sign-up; the featured speaker will begin at 6:00. Admission is $3 per person, cash bar is available.
All proceeds benefit the Cayuga Museum.
