A charming, happy-go-lucky bandit in old Arizona plays cat-and-mouse with the sheriff trying to catch him while he romances a local beauty. The first Western with sound-film featured an all-Movietone soundtrack thanks to the work of the Case Research Lab! Andrew Patrick Nelson, Chief Curator of Western Spirit: Scottsdale’s Museum of the West, will join us virtually as our moderator to introduce the film and lead a Q&A afterwards.

Learn how abolitionists, suffragists, and human rights advocates worked together to challenge injustice and inspire change. Our speaker for this program is Allison Hinman, President & CEO of the National Susan B. Anthony Museum & House.

Come enjoy the Spring weather and celebrate national poetry month by joining us to create our own poems about nature and the world around us in the Cayuga Museum’s Classroom on the ground floor. Families will then explore the Cayuga Museum and Schweinfurth Art Center through special scavenger hunts to earn a special prize. Admission to both organizations is free.

Join us for a new spring fundraising event on the morning of the Kentucky Derby! Grab your best dress, your best hat, and your best friends for a celebration of food, fashion, and fun. Prizes will be offered for “Best Dressed” and “Best Hat” and a brief history talk exploring derby fashion, the tradition of tea time, and the connection between women’s suffrage and horse racing will take place midway through the event. Registration is required.

The Hands-On History Camp is back for its seventh year! The Cayuga Museum of History and Art, Seward House Museum , and the National Park Service welcome you to this fun camp for kids ages 8 – 10 as you explore Auburn and its history. Daily activities will include stop-motion film, a full Victorian tea party, walking tours of historic sites across Downtown Auburn, gardening, and so much more!

The C.A.S.E. (Culture, Art, Science, and Environment) Camp at the Cayuga Museum of History & Art is a youth camp that connects campers ages 12-14 with their community through the historical, natural, and cultural significance of the City of Auburn. Each day of camp will feature a different theme to explore, with partnering organizations joining on various days to dive into assorted topics.
