Upcoming Programs
The West End Arts Campus is a space that brings people together through the transformative power of the arts. In the 19th and early 20th century, these grounds housed two prominent Auburn families, the Willards and the Cases. Today, the site is anchored by two organizations: The Cayuga Museum of History and Art and Schweinfurth Art Center. Explore the culture of the past, present, and future, and be inspired by the creative legacy of invention that has defined this place for generations. In a single day, you may dance under a historic ginkgo tree, listen to music in the Carriage House Theater, view first-rate art and art quilts or throw clay on a pottery wheel in the Schweinfurth Art Center, read the stories of the people who brought this community to life in the Cayuga Museum. This is the vision of the West End Arts Campus: a place to gather with no barriers, whether you are from the neighborhood or thousands of miles away. Experience your own creativity!
Donate
The West End Arts Campus is about 98% complete, with a few important accessibility elements including wayfinding signage and furniture for the grounds remaining to be funded. Please consider making a donation to help build an anchor for the arts in our community.
This project is made possible by the Downtown Revitalization Initiative, a program of the Housing Trust Fund and administered by Homes and Community Renewal and the City of Auburn American Rescue Plan Act. Many thanks to the numerous foundations and donors who matched State and City support. A full list of donors for either project site will be available for view at its respective museum.
Cayuga Museum of History & Art
The Cayuga Museum of History and Art engages the community to appreciate local history, promotes the arts, and educates individuals about the invention of sound on film through the operation of the Museum, Case Research Laboratory, and Carriage House Theater.
Schweinfurth Art Center
The Schweinfurth Art Center provides creative opportunities and transformational experiences through the arts, for all people. We believe in public access to the arts and are committed to integrity, excellence, understanding with generosity of spirit, and lifelong learning.
