Lunchtime Lecture: “Certain Heavy Scales Fell From My Eyes: William Seward, the Erie Canal, and the Making of a Reformer”

Jeff Ludwig, Seward House Museum’s Director of Education, will explore how Seward reversed himself on the Canal as a young man, a decision that ultimately forged his political philosophy and set him on a path towards becoming a New York Governor, U.S. Senator, and Secretary of State.

Admission to this program is “Pay What You Wish.” Bring a bag lunch, cash bar available.
