Tiffany Window Restoration

This curved, stained glass window designed and installed by the Tiffany Glass and Decorating Company of New York is an iconic facet of the Cayuga Museum. Installed in the 1890s as a functional window in the former medical office of Sylvester Willard, the piece captures light exceptionally, particularly in the Autumn months.

The window sustained damage in the 1970s when a fire broke out in the Cayuga Museum, and in 2024 a wind storm blew off a protective outer covering (which was quickly addressed and replaced). The window has remained remarkably durable despite these incidences and age, however, a recent condition report has revealed that the window will need preservation work to ensure its long term survival.

Revitalization of this window is expected to cost approximately $75,000 and every bit helps!
